4 Ingredient Irish Soda Bread
This 4 ingredient Irish Soda Bread is perfect with any meal but especially good at Saint Patrick’s Day!!

Irish Soda Bread
This bread is the perfect addition to have with our corned beef and cabbage!
Ingredients
- 3 1/4 c All purpose flour (I used gluten free)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 c buttermilk room temperature, more for top of bread before baking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450F (237C).
- Add dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
- Add buttermilk and stir, add more buttermilk as needed.
- Add flour to your work surface. Turn bread out and kneed until it comes together. Shape into a round disc, about 2" thick. Place disc on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Using a pastry brush, bast the bread with extra buttermilk.
- Using a sharp knife slice one cut from top to bottom and one cut side to side.
- Bake for 15 minutes and then lower the heat to 400F ( 204C). Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until it sounds hollow when thumped.
