Grape Salad

This dish proves the point that any dish, if it tries hard enough, can become a salad. The very first time I had this was at church potluck, after one bite I was off to the races to find who blessed us with this most delicious concoction! Carol was gracious enough to share the recipe with us, and as they say, the rest is history!

  • 10 oz sour cream
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1 1/2 t vanilla
Topping
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1-2 c chopped pecans

Instructions

Grape Salad
  1. Beat together cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla.
  2. Fold in cheddar cheese.
  3. Fold in grapes.
  4. Spread into 9x13 pan.
Topping
  1. Mix topping ingredients together and top grape salad.

Notes

I cut the grapes in half to reduce the choking hazard. Use freshly grated cheese if possible. This dish is wonderful to serve at an outing in individual Mason jars or punch cups.
