Rotel and Sausage Cheese Dip
Pick any get together in the South, be it a pot luck or tailgating, one thing you can depend on is someone is going to bring Rotel Cheese Dip. The addition of your favorite ground meat pumps up the protein and is so filling and utterly delicious. I guess you could say it's the great uniter, people 9 - 90 love it!
Rotel and Sausage Cheese Dip
This simple little dip has a big flavor and is such a crowd pleaser!
Ingredients
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, browned and drained
- 1 lb Velveeta
- 1 can Rotel or Red Gold diced tomatoes and green chilies
- 1 t ground cumin
Instructions
- Brow sausage in a skillet and drain off any grease.
- Add cubed Velveeta and can of Rotel to the cooked sausage.
- Stir over medium heat until completely melted.
- It will burn so don't cook it too fast! Chorizo is delicious in this too!
