Mother’s No Bake Dishpan Cookies
These cookies often found their way into my Daddy’s dinner bucket on the farm, especially during planting and harvest season.
Mother's No Bake Dishpan Cookies
After just one bite of these easy and delicious cookies you will want to make them every week! They are just that good!
Ingredients
- 2 c quick oats
- 1\ 2 c crunchy peanut butter
- 2 c granulated sugar
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1\ 2 c milk
- 1\ 2 c cocoa powder
- 1 t vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a dishpan or large mixing bowl add oats and peanut butter, set aside. To a sauce pan over medium high heat add sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Stirring to combine, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Stir constantly during this minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Pour cooked mixture into the bowl of oats and peanut butter. Stir to combine. Using 2 spoons or a small cookie scoop place cookies on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Let cool and store in an air tight container.
