Smoked Cream Cheese

Smoked Cream Cheese is new to the party and its shows up and shows out! It's wonderful smeared on a cracker all the way to being an ingredient in a decadent dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
  • Oil to coat cream cheese
  • Your favorite BBq dry rub

Instructions

  1. Rub all sides of the cream cheese with oil of your choice.
  2. Coat the top and all four sides with your favorite BBQ dry rub
  3. Place cream cheese on a heat proof surface, such as an aluminum pan or iron skillet.
  4. Slice diagonal slits on the top of the cream cheese. The easiest way to do this is with unflavored dental floss.
  5. Place in a smoker set to 250F and smoke for two hours.
  6. Serve with your favorite chips or use as a delicious ingredient in another recipe.
