Bourbon Hot Dog Cocktail Weiners

Sweet and saucy and full of flavor is the best way to describe this vintage appetizer, a definite crowd pleaser!!

Ingredients

• 1 - 2 packages Cocktail Weiners
• 3/4 c bourbon
• 1 1/2 c ketchup
• 1/2 c water
• 2 T minced onion
• 1/2 c brown sugar

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients into a crockpot. Cook on high for 2 hours or 4 hours on low or cook in the oven at 275F (135C) for 2 hours.

Notes

These get better the longer they simmer. Can be made several days in advance of cooking if kept in a covered container in the refrigerator. Your favorite hot dogs can be cut into bite size pieces and used in place of the cocktail weiners.
