Strawberry Freezer Jam
One of the great pleasures of summer is when the strawberries come off! When I was a little girl Mother and I would go to the strawberry patch and I believe I ate more than I picked! Open a jar of this freezer jam on a cold morning in February and be transported back to summer days, playing outside and eating berries straight off the plant!
Strawberry Freezer Jam
This will be the easiest jelly you'll ever make! You better make a second batch because you will want to share this with your friends and family!
Ingredients
- 2 c crushed Strawberries
- 4 c white sugar
- 1 package SureJell
- 3/4 c water
Instructions
- Stir crushed strawberries and sugar together and let sit for 10 minutes, at least.
- Combine SureJel and sugar in a sauce pan until the mixture is clear. Place on the stove and bring it to a boil, let boil for 1 minute.
- SLOWLY drizzle into strawberries, stirring constantly. Let sit for 3 minutes.
- Pour into clean containers leaving a 1/2" of head room. Top jar with the lid.
- Leave out on counter 24 hours then place in the freezer.
- Can freeze up to 1 year and you can enjoy it up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
Notes
Since this jelly isn't water bathed canned it must be kept in the freezer or the fridge.
